ABOUT
ASPIRE: EMERGING LEADERS CONFERENCE
Light of Chance, Inc. believes in developing leadership qualities in all youth and young adults. Our leadership conference aims to foster an inclusive environment that empowers young people to discover their personal leadership identity. Middle and high school students will participate by engaging in a daylong, interactive experience including breakout sessions with three prominent themes: Curious and Innovative Leadership, Exploring the Leader Within, and Expressive Leaders. The Aspire: Emerging Leaders Conference is incorporated into the school day and hosted at a local community college or university. Since its inception in 2007, thousands of youth have attended the conference.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The Aspire: Emerging Leaders Conference is about connecting with young leaders that do not fit into the traditional youth leadership model. We believe these types of leaders are curious, creative, expressive, and understand the importance of health and wellness.
Light of Chance, Inc. sees the potential in every young person to demonstrate leadership abilities when given the opportunity to explore and discover the unique qualities that make them who they are. The emerging leaders conference is uniquely designed to be inclusive and culturally diverse. Light of Chance welcomes students that perform at various academic levels and all forms of identities which include but are not limited to physical and intellectual ability, social-economic status, ethnicities, race, religion, and gender identity/expression.

FOCUS TRACKS
CURIOUS AND INNOVATIVE LEADERSHIP
The Curious and Innovative Leadership track engages young people in the process of exploring a single question about themselves. “As an emerging leader what makes me curious and innovative about leadership?”
EXPRESSIVE LEADERS
The Expressive Leaders conference track engages students in various forms of artistic expression. Participants will engage in arts-centered activities that cultivate their leadership style and offers creative strategies for empowering others and achieving results.
EXPLORING THE LEADER WITHIN
The Exploring the Leader Within conference track is a deep dive into one’s personal interconnectedness with the world around them. Participants will engage in and focus on themselves through the practice of self-care using yoga, meditation, goal setting, goal attainment, and group discussion activities.
