Elizabeth Reed

TEACHING ARTIST - VISUAL ARTS

BOWLING GREEN

Meet one of our Visual Arts teachers, Elizabeth Reed! Elizabeth is originally from Poplar Bluff, Missouri, but spent most of her life in Nashville. She went to Tennessee State University, graduating in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in Art Education. Elizabeth has been teaching art for 4 years, using many different mediums such as painting, drawing, 3D art, and printmaking—her personal favorite. In 2018, Elizabeth helped out with the C.O.L.O.R. Project in Nashville—a program that provided art classes to elementary-aged kids. Elizabeth enjoys working with students to help them create art that they’re proud of, giving them an opportunity to express themselves without speaking.

“I love being able to give students the tools that they need to be able to create an artwork that they are proud of. And art gives them an opportunity to express something they are feeling without speaking.”
