Light of Chance kicked off After-school Program’s 4th Year

Light of Chance, Inc. recently kicked off another spring semester of its after-school arts program, Breathe, Tuesday, February 23rd, marking it’s 4th year in existence.

Every Tuesday, from 3:30 to 6 p.m., youth from grades five through 12, will have the opportunity to engage in free creative arts workshops. This semester’s workshops will include music, dance, and screen printing.

Breathe develops creativity while providing a positive learning environment for area youth to express themselves, engage in important issues and experience personal and social transformation through the arts. The program educates and fosters artistic expression, leadership, and social skills through music, dance, creative writing and visual arts. Breathe is a constructive creative outlet that encourages teamwork; teaches communication and problem-solving skills, which are essential in becoming responsible citizens.

“We are constantly growing and evolving, along with our kids, to make each session better than the last,” said Light of Chance founder, Eric Logan. “We are continuing that tradition this session, by striving to make Breathe the most impactful and premier program in the tri-state.”

No specific artistic talent or experience are needed to participate in the Breathe. All students need is a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
